Fred: It's the pictures in my mind that are getting me. It's like being stuck in a really bad movie with those Clockwork Orange clampy things on my eyeballs. Wesley: Why imagine? Reality's disturbing enough.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Since this is a comic books topic, perhaps people here would have suggestions as to where to donate the 1000+ comics that I rescued from having a friend recycle for paper. They're not collectable, so far as I know, as they were read and reread and not stored in archival conditions... but they are indeed still readable. Are there any prison reading projects/adult literacy resources/et cetera that will accept old Marvel comics from 1988-1998?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

What titles are they, Theodosia?

Adam Hughes, who will be the artist on All-Star Wonder Woman for 6 issues, says: "My dream for ASWW is to cram as much character & story into Diana's tale as humanly possible, with the type of action set-pieces that will make Joss Whedon scream "Damn you, Adam Huuuuuuuughes!!!" into the rain, shaking his tiny fists in impotent rage."

That made me laugh, so I ventured into this thread for the first time just to share it.

I need to go through them to get a rough idea. The only one I can remember for sure was an X-Men.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Anyone know when the next Astonishing X-Men is due out? Joss is apparently not so great with keeping his comic book deadlines. (I'm glad I read Fray after the fact, rather than having to wait forever between issues.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

They shouldn't let the TV guys write. Ultimate Hulk & Wolverine #3, anyone?

New Astonishing X-Men tomorrow. (Finally.)

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I will believe it after I've bought the thing. I'm half expecting 22 pages of "The story so far."

Maybe Ultimate Hulk v. Wolverine will follow soon.

Director's cut, my ass.

Robin #146 cover. Someone needs to be shot.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.
