Discussion of Buffy and Angel comics, books, and more. Please don't get into spoilery details in the first week of release.

Loving: Teen Titans, Manhunter (sob! I'll miss it so!), Blue Beetle, BoP, The Superman Titles, Checkmate, 52.
Not hating: Outsiders, Firestorm, Catwoman, various Batbooks (though I'm more meh than expected on JR's arc, as I generally love his writing), Supergirl (see above re: predictable and just add Rucka).
On the fence until I see where they're going: Robin. Hawkgirl.
Actively eyerolling: ZoolanderNightwing. But in the, Oh-Em-Gee, could this BE any more crapcrack? amused sort of way. Oh, and Ion. Which I'm reading as Blogfodder. (Speaking of... Watch This Space For URL, which won't go up until I Have Content. Because what the world really needed was another comics blogger, right?)
Oh, yes--I'm liking Blue Beetle and am curiously enjoying (as in curious about what's coming next, not curious about enjoying it) BoP. Firestorm's cool. As far as Catwoman's concerned, I'm not buying it or anything. I just want to know who the babyfather is.
I'm intrigued by 52, especially last week's -- was I misinterpreting, or did Wonder Girl start a cult worshipping Superboy??? If I read that correctly, that's even weirder than Robin trying to re-clone Kon. (Because that fits Tim's character, perfectly. Obsessive little Kon-loving freakboy.)
Catwoman gets points for showing a realistic post-baby body AND breastfeeding, even if the whole baby thing raises red flags for me.
Actively eyerolling:ZoolanderNightwing.
Plei, have you seen this at Newsarama.com: "What I Think of Nightwing: An Editorial"?
BWAH!
Oh, ouch.
Is Nightwing out to kill the Statue of Liberty or something? I don't understand those covers.
I don't understand those covers.
The covers are more comprehensible than the plot. Or characterization.

Dick's in New York working as a model, where he is being Single White Femaled by Jason, who has a shiny, curvy knife and likes to use it on bad guys.
Also, Dick can't turn left, and just lost the VH-1 model award to Jason.
I'll be very sad if this arc doesn't wind up with them opening a Center For SuperKids Who Want To Learn To Read Good and Do Other Stuff Good Too.
PS, the second part of my summary is a lie, but it's really what should have happened.
