Too bad the rest of the article is "Newsflash! Girls Read Comics!!"
You know, it's articles like that that make me want to bop people over the head a month's worth of my pulls.
News flash: we also read comics with spandex.
Also, and totally unrelated, Amanda Waller is my new fictional crush object.
What are you reading with The Wall, PMM? I used to love Suicide Squad.

I just read Rucka's OMAC special on the bus. She's
The new Black King of Checkmate
and in fine form.
Oh, excellent. I didn't think to pick that up--it's worth it?
I thought it was well worth it. It looks like it's probably a
set up issue for the coming Checkmate series
as well as
tying up some loose IC ends.
I'll try and remember that for comic shopping next week. Thanks for the heads up.
I thought there were many insane things about that piece. Citing what happened in Singapore & the Philipines was odd, since comics don't have the same stigma there as in the US. And I sincerely doubt that even in the US, the people Gaiman encounters on a book tour are representative of comic fans in general.
It was like every paragraph was totally unrelated to every other paragraph. I think the actual point was "I had dinner with Neil Gaiman and I would like to deduct the cost as a business expense." Or possibly, "Wired is seriously desperate for content."
::makes face:: Comic book store just called me to see where I've been the last two months. I don't know how to call and say I will buy my comics, as soon as I have money.
SA, you could probably just say that.
I picked up many many comics yesterday. I'm kind of caught up now. And I have a question re: Catwoman, first issue "One Year Later":
okay, who's the daddy of her baby? Is it Bruce?
I think I missed something. I'm going to assume that answers will be in 52 weeks, right? Maybe?
