Matt, I also think that tedium and jealousy play a part.

Matt, well, he did lose everything he knew and cared for and he felt as if all of it, including himself, was replaced by a cheap copy. So, I can see the resentment. Plus, Steph's suggested mind-poisoning by Alexander on top of it and I can see how he was more or less pushed to the breaking point. Then the fight with the Titans happened, he killed someone (albeit accidently) and suddenly he was "worse" than his ursurper and he completely lost it.
(I'm confused as to what should and shouldn't be white-fonted, since we're discussing stuff from 2 issues ago.)
I've probably been over-cautious in my whitefonting since I don't have previous issues here with me. I guess there haven't been any new signs of wackiness on Superboy Prime's part that hadn't already been shown in #4.
I think people confused about Superboy Prime need to read the Infinite Crisis Secret Files, which -- aside from the utter stupidity of tshowing how SP's tantrums caused him to get mad and hit time, thus changing DC continuity (Dear God, that was lame) does a pretty good job of outlining how SP came to lose it -- from watching his parents and girlfriend die in the Crisis to utter isolation in their haven, to growing, bitter resentment watching things unfold on Earth. He was messed up. And also, his parents WEREN'T Ma and Pa Kent, they just had the same last name.
I think what Victor thinks.
This should come as no shock.
Though I'm not as one with him on thinking the reality-altering punches were lame, because c'mon--Jason Todd! Dude! That's as worth it as ConCord for Naked Gina Torres, people.
Plei, you misspelled "completely broken and betrayed and OMG Now I See The Woobie-ness Jason Todd."
IJS. The last issue of Batman before OYL could not have been more perfect. Hell, the last *page* of the last issue was enough perfection right there.
t is reminded that batstuff is the *sane* part of the DC 'verse
Sometimes I miss reading comics. But Comics buying money is so far away from the priority list for me, it's not even on the same planet, let alone the same sheet of paper.
Plei -- not saying no good came of it. Just saying SUPERBOY PRIME PUNCHED TIME!!!! Which is a bit much.
Yeah, I'm with Victor on the concept being lame with a capital ame.
