Discussion of Buffy and Angel comics, books, and more. Please don't get into spoilery details in the first week of release.
It sounds like you need to borrow my DVD of A Touch of Brimstone.
Love that episode. Diana Rigg's outfit (you know the one) is etched into my memory. Also, the ep features a pre-Python appearence by Carol Cleveland.
I wasn't sure where to post this because I think of Minearverse as the place where people talk about Warren Ellis but really this is a comics thing so...
I did something very dorktastically funny this weekend:
Scans daily has posted the Callisto/Storm duel. God I love that, both narratively and artistically.
Some strange stuff happens with Storm's face, but the body language is beautiful throughout the fight.

That was Paul Smith? I loved his art on the book. One of my favorite runs on X-men. How cool is Ororo's knife-snatch out of the air?
I love the panel where Storm has trapped Callisto's arm up in the air and is about to stab her. It looks so loose, and in the middle of motion.
Ooof. New comics today. Infinite Crisis #6 and Teen Titans #34 -- I only have 2 things to say:
(1) Superboy: He Saved the World a Lot. And also, OUCH. D.C. freaking *Mineared* Kon!
(2) Dude, Tim is a sick and twisted freakboy. I love him so. The last page of TT #34 made me laugh and laugh and laugh some more.
Why oh why did I read the whitefont? I am a moron.
I guess I just answered my own question.
So, Steph... was it a good (earned) death for my poor, sweet, brave dork of a boy?
I've been afraid to read, being all chickenshit since I got spoiled for it, and not wanting to burst into tears on the bus like I did when Renee was coping with Cris's death. (Oh, CRIS!) BesidesifIdon'treadhe'snotevenpiningforthefjords, right?
Plei, I was traumatized when I got spoiled for it. I mean, DAMN -- the moment I started to *really* love Kon (and that was many issues back), I should have known that he was toast.
Anyway -- it was a death worthy of Minear. And I think you know that that's high praise. It was similar to Doyle dying (in terms of emotional impact), but without the Nazi demons.
And it was *almost* worth it just b/c it set up the last page of TT #34 so perfectly.
