I've seen the episode--I just never made the connection.
Huh.
It seemed obvious to me. It veers off from "homage" territory into the "rip-off" zone.
I'm not good with that sort of memory--I read the comic way after seeing the episode--I couldn't tell you the guest actors/characters from any of the TV I watched in the early 80s.

Love that episode. Diana Rigg's outfit (you know the one) is etched into my memory. Also, the ep features a pre-Python appearence by Carol Cleveland.

Scans daily has posted the Callisto/Storm duel. God I love that, both narratively and artistically.
Some strange stuff happens with Storm's face, but the body language is beautiful throughout the fight.
