The reprints were on flimsier stock and are considered less desirable as a result. Hence the high prices on the first edition.

Btw, you would've been very proud of JZ as she went off to Dickens Faire last week. She looked properly Victorian and goth, and was invited to model her cunning little hat and a corset in the Dark Gardens window.

I took a few. Also Dark Garden took some, so they might show up at their website I suppose.
But she really did look very (and I use this word very sparingly as it is a superlative) Jilliesque.
Dark Garden has eleventy berjillion pictures. I'm going to visit the store sometime after the holidays and see if I can wheedle copies of one or two.
It was some consolation for the fact that I had to improvise an outfit in a hurry, due to 19 months of married life and mac'n'cheese once a week having expanded my dimensions just enough that there was no way in hell I could fit into my old costume, even corseted. I couldn't even fit into my old corset. muttergrumble seethe seethe
