We're not gonna die. We can't die, Bendis. You know why? Because we are so very pretty. We are just too pretty for God to let us die.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Bah. Lindelhof talked me into picking up Ultimate Hulk vs. Wolverine. Damned podcast.

I seem to have missed and then missed again New X-Men 20. I am chagrined, and need to remedy this somehow. Pointers in acquiring an alternative copy appreciated -- last comic store told me there'd be no more reprinting. I wonder what the hell happened in it that made it go so finally. It's not like #18 isn't in all the stores still.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

ita, apparently that's the issue where X-23 (Wolverine Girl) joins the team. If my local shop's re-order comes through you're welcome to my copy.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

sumi, I've never seen that before. So beautiful, OMG. I found a handful of them floating around eBay, but they're a little spendy. But so amazingly gorgeous.

I'm going to check one more store, Matt. If that doesn't work, I may look at you hopefully.

Damn stunt issues.

Jilli has the original edition of that, I think. The reprints were on flimsier stock and are considered less desirable as a result. Hence the high prices on the first edition.

2 copies: one I use for readings, and one still in the big white box and everything. Mind you, there's a small puncture in the box from where a bat-decorated candlestick fell on it during an earthquake ...

The reprints were crap. Horrible, horrible cardstock.

Gothiest Goth Goddess in Greater Gothonia

Btw, you would've been very proud of JZ as she went off to Dickens Faire last week. She looked properly Victorian and goth, and was invited to model her cunning little hat and a corset in the Dark Gardens window.
