Yeah, the accent seemed really weird to me, but then I realized I'd never heard a Brazilian accent.

Discussion of Buffy and Angel comics, books, and more. Please don't get into spoilery details in the first week of release.
I had an acquaintance from Brazil and the accent was dead-on. But it still sounded weird.
I was a little confused in the second episode. First of all, is that really Hawkman? And where did he stash those wings? And if he's not Hawkman how does he fly? And when stalker!hawkman tells Shayera he missed the dress and she say "You didn't miss it last night." Is it just me or did it seem like they done it? Which didn't make sense later when he's all getting undressed and she's like, whoa bucko...
And in no particular order, in the first episode if Flash can move his arms around fast enough to fly, he could have totally disarmed Lex when he held the gun against Blackhawk dude's head. IJS.
Wolfram, in the comics Thanagarian wings are just another technological device. Which seems weird to me, since if you're going to build a portable flying machine there are more efficient ways to doing it than creating big feathered wings. In the DCAU, though, it seems like the wings are biological. Except for in Hawkman's case, apparently.
As for the Flash in the first episode, I was wondering the same thing.
Well, Carter Hall was a =Thanagarian= reincarnated as a human. So I guess he needed bionic wings .

Hee:
And plus there’s nothing you can write that Bendis hasn’t written twice in other books that are out by the time you get it out. I wish I were kidding but my God, he’s really prolific and occasionally writes what you were going to write a lot better than what you going to write and that’s no fun for anyone. Except for the readers, and who cares about them?
Joss in this interview: [link] He talks a bit about Serenity and Astonishing X-Men (non-spoilery unless you haven't read AXM 12).

Preview pages for Infinite Crisis #1 (and I shouldn't even need to say this, but -- SPOILERY!!!): [link]
Wow.
OK. That looks fun.
I'm totally confused by pages 2 and 3, though I'm guessing from context that they're good guys who I just haven't heard of.
When I was in the comic store today, cute comic-book guy and I were chatting about Infinite Crisis, and he said that he read an interview with a VP at DC, who said that the final page of Infinite Crisis #1 is the best page of comics he's ever seen EVAR.
That's a lot to live up to, yo. I mean, Robin and Superboy making out wouldn't even make it the best page EVAR.
Then we slagged on All-Star Pedophile Batman and Robin for a while, and then moved on to speculating who in their right mind would let Rob Liefeld draw Teen Titans.
Then cute comic-book guy asked "You like Buffy, right?" And I said yes, and he said he had been in Baltimore for the t memfault convention and got a bunch of free swag, and gave me this: [link]
I think he loves me. (Plus, the little Angel figure has the option of being shirtless!!! Too cute!) I tried to get the Batman & Batgirl (Babs-as-Batgirl) figures away from him, but he said no, they were cool and he was going to put them above the register.
My spoilery comment is small
OMGWTFDAMAGE!
And, umm... yeah. My non-specific comment is that I am very glad I've read all the issues of JSA (except last week's, which is waiting in the bag for me to get off my ass).
Plei, on your spoilery comment -- is that the Batcave, or the Watchtower? Because the good guys who I didn't recognize mentioned an explosion on the moon, and unless it was Chairface Chippendale, I was assuming it was the Watchtower.
Also, this week's BoP -- I can't make any sense of the timelines of the different titles. Like, did the most recent Outsiders happen before this issue of BoP? V. v. confusing.
