It's good to have cargo. Makes us a target for every other scavenger out there, though, but sometimes that's fun too.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Whew. Got it. Read it quickly in the car during lunch. Like it.

Snowbird, huh? Interesting. Wouldn't have gotten the protector's name, ever. Not familiar with him.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I told co-worker about Rojas being Steve Rogers, and he actually slapped his forehead and said "Of course!"

Art Crawl!!!

I only have the vaguest of knowledge of the original characters -- but I found the comic very very enjoyable -- can't wait for the next installment.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

SA, which account did you send it to, and what subject?

I don't remember. It was late last night and I was upset. But I resent it to marcontell.org.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

The only ones I hadn't guessed offhand were The alleged Snowbird and the grand inquisitor, who simply HAS to be Magneto. I'm looking forward to seeing Doom and Prof. X. Since they were eluded to and not shown, I can only imagine they'll be a big deal. Also, I'm wondering who else we'll see. Snowbird is an act of brilliance, and the assasin being the Vanisher (a little known X-villain) was a good throw away. Still, I suspect Gaiman's having a grand old time proving he's as much a comic geek as anyone, so I'd expect a few more surprises.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

That was lots of fun. Liked 1602 a lot. I don't think Viginia Dare is Snowbird, although I have no idea who it actually is. I'd never even thought of Steve Rogers. That was a great catch. (I was thinking Thunderbird.) As far as Magneto being the inquisitor goes, I thought it might be, but then I wondered would a Jew be the inquisitor? They do mention that many Jews pretended to be Catholics. He does seem to be the leader of the evil witchbreeds. I liked the set up for the Gunpowder plot. Wonder when Guy Fawkes shows up?

POI, DXM: Magneto's not a Jew. He's a Gypsy. Just a persecuted, different accent.

Got my Fray, but they were out of 1602. Curses! Comic book guy says he'll try to get me one by Monday. I feel dreadfully uncool.

Remember, remember/the fifth of November/the Gunpowder Treason and Plot/I see no reason/Why Gunpowder Treason/Should ever be forgot.

Remember, Marvel has a no-reprint policy, so it may be hard for stores to get reorders, so snag as soon as you are able..
