Does Overstreet list comic-related portfolios? I have one for The Crow, from Caliber Press, that was printed in ... '90? '92? Anyway, limited edition, blah-blah-blahdicakes, and I want to sell the thing, but I canNOT find any info on what it might be worth.
The information I find in my copy (which is from last year's printing), I see a listing from Caliber Press of
The Crow.
They list 4 issues, with issue 1 going for up to $55, and the rest going up to $30 per issue; there is also a Caliber Press Anthology containing the first appearance of the Crow printed in 1989 that is listed up to $70 for the first issue, but I don't see listings for portfolios.
Oy.
I'm rationing my Global Frequency, and I just finished the first TPB.
The line "Daddy look! Spiderman's a girl and she's just like us." hit me right where I live. The rest of that story was a bit off. I think it was the least favourite of the lot.
Is that the Le Parkour one? If so, then... yeah.
Though I do find it interesting when he does these little experiments. There's at least one more high-concept one later on.
Hm, I should reread those.
I should read those. How many trades are there? Amazon only seems to have two.
That's how many there are. 12 issues, 2 collections.

Right, then. So, where would a good place be to sell off those issues, if someone had them? And the Caliber Press Christmas special that had a Crow story in it.
Thanks, Jeff. That's very helpful.
I'm assuming the comic would be considered Near Mint, since the only time we've ever touched it was to take it out of the box we found it in this weekend. We do need to get a bag and a board for it, I think. I should be able to pick that up at a local comics store, shouldn't it? Or is it one of those things that they're only going to sell by the gross?
CPG seems to believe it would be $25, or $125 if I paid to have it graded, but I can't imagine that's worth the effort. At least, I think it's the same issue, but they don't have a cover image. Mile High didn't list it.
Would you mind looking it up in your Overstreet? Shadowman Volume 2, Issue 1, Special Edition.

Every comic store I've been to has sold bags and boards individually.
ION, I've been (re)watching Batman Beyond seasons 2 and 3 was amused to discover Michael Rosenbaum turning up every couple episodes voicing assorted random thugs and the recent two-parter I watched featured Alexis Denisof as a character named Xander.
Dana, Overstreet doesn't seem to list the Special Edition variant - they only list the original, and the painted cover variant, and both are listed at the cover price of $2.50. I hope to pick up the new edition tomorrow, so I'll check and see if the special edition is listed there.
Jilli, I don't have much to offer on where to sell, since my experience has all been on the buying end. I guess I would start with testing out the local comic shops and see what they might want for it. It looks to me like the Caliber issues are fairly rare - if you take a look at this MileHighComics page, you can see that they are charging an arm and a leg when they actually have the issues in stock. I couldn't find any mention anywhere of a Caliber Christmas special.
Jilli, have you asked Uncle Jeff?
