Jeff, you and I are as one when it comes to House of M -- I'm intrigued by it (though horribly confused by this week's issue), but I refuse to buy the associated "Spider-Man: House of M," etc. No way, mang.

Discussion of Buffy and Angel comics, books, and more. Please don't get into spoilery details in the first week of release.
Also on this week's pull list is Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere #1, adapted by Mike Carey (Lucifer) and Glenn Fabry (Preacher covers).
I picked this up today. I really dislike the artwork.
It was more than a bit of sarcasm. Apparently my comic store must be atypical in still having stacks of each DoV issue that could stop a rifle bullet, but as that customer response jibes with my opinion of the story I assumed it was a more widespread phenomenon.
Uh, did anyone see an article yesterday about comic books for Spike, Angel and Serenity? I thought I'd find it mentioned here, but I may have missed it.
Well, there are comic books for Spike, Angel and Serenity coming out this summer.
They were mentioned in that interview with Joss Whedon that Jessica's dh (Fonebone) did for TVG Insider.
So, ita, in TT #25, did you like Wondergirl for her general ass-kicking, or was it her "I'm a WARRIOR, motherfucker!" ('motherfucker' implied) that did it for you?
Because when she said "I'm a warrior," I immediately thought of you.
I thought of Patti Smythe.
Or I would have, had I read the comic.

The reviews on the story have been mixed, at least from what I've seen. Personally, I've liked bits of it (the Ragman, Detective Chimp), but I have been surprised at how simple the overall story seems. (Actually, it seems to me that all of the "Countdown" mini-series are moving at a much faster pace than I expected).
BTW, can any explain to me when OMAC fits in the timeline, especially w.r.t. Birds of Prey?
I think BoP hasn't quite caught up with OMAC, as IIRC Babs was still looking for Ted last issue.
It was precisely then, Steph. The close up shot on the tears in her eyes really sold it for me.
I thought this week's House of M was a bit annoying. I'm guessing we're in something to do with her head, or the realities she's creating, but I don't want to spend a lot of time there, because it feels a bit like an exercise in wankery.
I flipped through Neverwhere. The art is pretty much the only reason I'd get it, since I have the book. It's not the right art. Maybe in trade.
