Was JLU an hour this week? It seems like my recording cut off abruptly, I expected there to be more Billy Batson/Supes interaction. Instead I just got Lex Luthor mwah-ha-haing with Amanda What's-Her-Name about his plan working better than he thought.

The episode just felt unbalanced, like the plot was just getting started. I really expected more of a reaction when Superman found out that instead of a Clark Kent, Marvel's alter-ego was a kid -- and one stuck in kid-dom, am I correct?

I was wondering if Supes already knew that Cap's alter-ego was a kid, because, yeah -- he didn't seem surprised at all. But then, he was pretty focused on being a great big jerk, so maybe he just didn't have any emotional energy left to be surprised.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.
The actual fight between Supes and Marvel was cool. It was a big homage to Harvey Kurtzman's Mad Magazine. Even though it was totally out of character for Supes.
The characterization was thrown out of the window in order to set up the cool fight and to advance the series' arc (which really, really annoys me. Morally ambiguous superheroes? This is a children's cartoon, not The Sopranos).

And what's the story with Captain Marvel Junior? He can't say his name or else he turns back into Freddy Freeman, is that it?
Can he not say his real name, or his superhero name, or both? And doesn't he have to say his superhero name to *become* Captain Marvel Jr.?

Dude, Teen Titans has a pretty dark arc this season, with Raven/Slade/Trigon issues. I like, but it really skirts the edge of being a kid's cartoon.

I've dl'd the next few eps, and they're a direct story arc. They really ought to say "To be continued" at the end of each.
