(ToonDisney also shows the 80s-era Spider Man and His Amazing Friends, but that is perhaps best left unmentioned.)
Hey, I loved that show as a kid. Of course, I haven't seen it recently so I can't speak for the actual quality. I actually didn't really care for the 90's Spiderman cartoon when it was on and while I enjoyed the X-Men cartoon when it first aired, I caught part of an episode recently and it was pretty painful.
ABCFamily Channel is going to start airing the animated Tick starting on June 19. The commerical I saw said it would be on at 11 but did not specify a.m. or p.m.
Sweet! I mean, I've already got the bootleg DVDs, but you know...Spoon!
Tonight's Justice League Unlimited is written by Gail Simone.
Tom! Damn it, are you home right now? I had music on so loud that I didn't hear my cell phone (being buried as it was in the depths of my purse), and I can call you back.
Is that the MTV Spider-Man? I really loved the animation and the theme song in that one.
Is that the MTV Spider-Man?
No. Fox had a Spiderman cartoon in the 90's. The MTV one came out after the first movie. I only caught bits and pieces of the latter. Wasn't a big fan of the animation style myself.
JLU: Okay, that episode was a lot of fun. I knew we were getting
Huntress
but wasn't expecting the rest of the cast.
Ending was kind of predictable but the dialogue and banter was top notch.
I agree -- I really enjoyed JLU tonight.
The voice casting bugged me just a little bit -- I would have switched the actors for Huntress and Black Canary. And it doesn't have anything to do with the whole blonde = higher voice stereotype (a stereotype, I might add, which has been applied to me many a time, and promptly disproved the minute I open my Barry White mouth).
I just tend to think of Huntress as having a deeper voice than Canary, I suppose.
Well, I'd imagine since Canary appeared first, Morena was cast before Amy was, but I don't know for sure.
Why can't Huntress work with Batman? Philosophical differences? Does she kill? Or will she?
