I read The OMAC Project #2 and The Outsiders over lunch. Is that a new artist for The Outsiders? Because I am having difficulty telling some of the characters apart. I looked at Year One Batman/Scarecrow and felt "meh" about it so I didn't pick it up.
The art on
Outsiders
has been incosistent ever since Tom Raney left. I can't recall if this is the first issue for this team or not, but it certainly is lacking.
I didn't even glance at the Scarecrow special because of the price - $5.99 for a movie tie-in? I don't think so.
I liked the art on this issue of Outsiders. Reminded me of early Sienkiewicz on New Mutants.
Meh. I have one title on my pull list today. Villains United #2.
SA came up last night to pick up a month's worth of comics, so we went to the store (obviously), and I found out that Cute Comic Guy has a girlfriend. Meh. Though he certainly is flirty with me.
Well, that's too bad.
I have 'tec and Villains today. And I think I'm going to check out The Runaways.
I caught most of Juniper Lee yesterday -- it's cute. It's also clearly set in San Francisco. It's kind of fun to have a cartoon with such a particular setting.
Nabbed this link from Whedonesque:
Angel: The Curse" is set an indefinite time after the conclusion of the "Angel" TV finale. The story finds the hero on his own and searching for the Gypsy tribe that cursed him years ago. It is written by Jeff Mariotte, author of several "Angel" novels.
A second comic-book miniseries, featuring the whole cast of characters from the television show, is planned for the end of the year.
This seems to be the best place for this news.
ABCFamily Channel is going to start airing the animated
Tick
starting on June 19. The commerical I saw said it would be on at 11 but did not specify a.m. or p.m.
They are also going to start airing an animated version of
The Fantastic Four
on, I think, the 18th, but I don't know what time. This channel and ToonDisney continue to air the 90s-era animated versions of
The X-Men
and
Spider Man.
(ToonDisney also shows the 80s-era
Spider Man and His Amazing Friends,
but that is perhaps best left unmentioned.)

Hey, I loved that show as a kid. Of course, I haven't seen it recently so I can't speak for the actual quality. I actually didn't really care for the 90's Spiderman cartoon when it was on and while I enjoyed the X-Men cartoon when it first aired, I caught part of an episode recently and it was pretty painful.

Sweet! I mean, I've already got the bootleg DVDs, but you know...Spoon!
