"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

It occurs to me that Xavier is able to make psychic contact with the danger room, and had a hand in designing and programming it. I'm not entirely convinced that anything we saw happening in that fight was going on outside its mind .

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I can see morphing for functionality, but what would the point be of that change?

Payback in kind?

Payback in kind of what? Why would Wolverine get gloved treatment, and there was no non-functional morphing for any of the other kills?

Wait, I thought you were talking about the panel where Wolverine gets a blue fist with claws through the chin? I just thought since he'd been skewering the danger room with his claws for years, it decided to give Logan the same treatment.

Did I misunderstand which panel you were looking at?

It was the final panel showing Wolvie, and the blue gloved fist was near his head and him lying prone. In the panel you're talking about is the fist gloved? Because the avatar's fist is always blue. If it's gloved there, at least it's consistent, even though I think it's pointless.

I didn't notice if it was gloved, but it's blue. Wolverine is getting an uppercut, but there are also claws that look like his going into his face. I'll have to check on the other panel when I get home.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

RE Astonishing: I laughed my ass off for a good 5 minutes when Colossus chucked Emma at the avatar.

I like Matt's idea that the battle , or at least parts of it, could have been a psychic projection from Xavier.

The whole thing couldn't have been, though, otherwise the S.W.O.R.D people couldn't have seen the "detruction" and talked about it.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

This site looks pretty awesome.
