Art Crawl!!!

Well, I think you should at least get the last one in comic form -- so you have Joss' letter page.

"Don't think of yourself as an organic pain collector racing towards oblivion." Dogbert to Dilbert

Isn't Marvel's "1602" due to be released today? I haven't followed Marvel for years, but this series looks like it's going to suck me right back in.

Yes it is due today. Neil Gaiman placing the Marvel Universe back in time to the year 1602. Thank god it's only an 8-issue run (@$3.50/issue).

I tell you, Fray has really cost me a lot of my disposable income. I hadn't been reading comic books, except for an occasional trade paperback, until Fray arrived. Now I'm a regular who shows up every Wednesday to get the new stuff, and I know far too much about current DC comics than may be considered healthy.

Talk about your gateway drug...

with a gleam in my eye, and an almost airtight alibi

1602 is out TODAY!?! Damn, it would be a day when I'm busy!

so you have Joss' letter page.
Yes. You will want this.

Talk about your gateway drug...

Wrod. Who knew Fray would lead me to a such an avid addiction or that buying things that cost $3 a piece could force you to dip into your savings account? Uh. Not that I've done that or anything.

Finally, I loved every page of Fray, and thought I had maxed out my ability to love a Jossverse character on Faith before I met Mel, but did anyone else think the "slang" used in Fray was a wee bit forced or detracted from the story? It got on my nerves a bit. And does a little more every time I re-read it.

Ah, OK. Thanks. See, I knew this was the right place to come.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Tina, the slang was similar to Firefly, which makes the whole thing that much more interesting to me.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I tell you, Fray has really cost me a lot of my disposable income. I hadn't been reading comic books, except for an occasional trade paperback, until Fray arrived.

Same with me, although with me it was after about a ten year hiatus from buying comics. Fortunately, it's tapered off quite a bit, because I just haven't found much stuff that keeps my interest the way Fray did.

See now, that just makes me so sad. I hate that I missed Firefly with a fiery passion (my life was a big ball of crazy when it was on and I had no VCR - it was awful!). It's like having several volumes missing from my Jossverse encyclopedia set. Grrr. Want DVDs now.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Hmmm. Must check out "1602."

an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

I'm walking up to the comic book store at lunch for 1602. Anything else I should get?
