Hmm. It's sounds like the finest party I can imagine getting paid to go to.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Did anybody pick up Seven Soldiers of Victory #0? It looks like we're in for a wild ride.

It's fun. Grant Morrison weirdness, re-imagined old heroes and a giant spider. All in all, a surprisingly gripping and moving story.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Freeeeaaaky. Did you people know that the new Dr. Strange action figure is being modeled on Goth funny man & musician Voltaire? Pete just sent me the link to the story: [link]

The generation that could change the world is still looking for its car keys.

That's . . . . odd.

Dr. Strange is popular enough to merit an action figure? I thought I was one of about twelve people buying his titles all thise years...

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

There are twelve of you?

The only Strange title I ever bought regularly was Defenders, mostly because it was fun to see the hoops they needed to jump through so they could get Strange, Submariner, and the Hulk in the same room every issue

Dr. Strange is a much loved character, but in that "gee, I love Dr. Strange when he appears in other people's books" sort of way.

Neilalien is the blog you want to go to if you are a Dr. Strange fan - the site also has decent comics commentary in general. I've been picking up the JMS-penned Strange revamp, and am mightily disappointed.

With you there. While I'm willing to give them some slack with the re-interpretation of Strange himself, the snotty holier-than-thou Wong and the Ancient One as a suit-wearing New Age Guru really rankle.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I had a craving for comic book cover wallpaper, and as a result have spent way too much time here. It's like the IMDB for comics.

Wow. I'd forgotten all about Treasure Chest, but I know I read some of them as a kid.
