"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Good Lord! Does this mean that Byrne is finally giving up writing and concentrating on the aspect of the industry that he's good at?

I wonder who we could get to ink.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

concentrating on the aspect of the industry that he's good at?

Saying outrageous sexist crap?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Unfortunately, I have Emmett that weekend so I can't really go. Too bad, I'm sure JZ would love to see Rucka again (they were friends in college).

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Well, JZ could still go.

Yeah, but then I'd have to die of jealousy.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

My extremely cool co-worker is going to that. I'll have to ask her if she's into comics, or if she's going strictly for manga & to see Joss.

One day pass is only like $15. We could go on the Saturday with the Serenity stuff. Emmett gets in free. We could just go for a couple hours and buy him some comics and toys to keeep him happy. Maybe...

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Hmmm. 3-day pass is only $35.

Wow. Isn't that ridiculously cheap for a con? But are there then a whole bunch of hidden fees, like to actually see speakers or get pictures/autographs?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Wow. If that building blew up, we'd be screwed.

Not really. I think most of the WizardWorld cons (outside of the Chicago one) run in the $40 - $45 range, IIRC. I'm going to MegaCon in Orlando at the end of the month, I paid $40. The autographs there are free, but you have to get in early to get tickets for the autographs of the major stars, because they are limited. This year Joe Quesada is the main guest (presumably to run in Crossgen's demise). Good times, but WonderCon is probably limiting the number of West Coast guests they've had in the past.
