Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Hmm. Why, exactly? Hush was one of the better recent portrayals of Lois. I think I might be desensitized to her.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

But....she's such a bitch.

Lois is tough, funny, good at her job, loves her husband, and even in distress, ain't nobody's damsel.

I'm have to answer that tonight, when I can look at my copy of Hush, b/c I don't want to just start spouting off nonsense.

But....she's such a bitch.

Lois is tough, funny, good at her job, loves her husband, and even in distress, ain't nobody's damsel.

Well, she doesn't have to be a damsel or bad at her job for me to like her. I guess I find her totally unsympathetic, kind of like Bruce (which might explain why Clark was drawn to Lois....), though not as extreme. I mean, I really dig Batman, but I don't much like *Bruce.*

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Have the ever done a storyline about that, maybe one where Bruce has to defend himself against charges of inappropriate behaviour?

You'd think that if we can come up with all sorts of inappropriate thoughts about his habit of taking orphaned boy acrobats into his home and them getting beat up frequently, some social worker would look askance as well. Though of course they'd be unaware of the dressing them up in short shorts or leather wrinkle.

Then again, this is a setting in which a pair of glasses fooled a Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter into thinking that Clark Kent and Superman were two separate people for years despite interacting with both on a regular basis.

"Don't think of yourself as an organic pain collector racing towards oblivion." Dogbert to Dilbert

She rocks hard. Superman: President Lex is a good trade to read for the Lois love.

Good for characterization, but that trade is all over the map in art and story (take a few pages from Adventures, add a few pages from Man of Steel, maybe even include an entire issue of Action). I definitely didn't like the flow of that trade.

I got hosed this week at the comics shop - they still haven't worked out the bugs in the ownership transistion. Almost all of my DC comics didn't come in, although I did get JLA Classified, Planetary, and Y The Last Man. I also finally received Justice League Elite #7, (just before #8 due next week), but haven't had time to read anything.

We3 came in as well, so all was not lost. Still, I hope my shop gets things to gether soon, because all of the white font is killing me.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

About NW 102: Why do we think that Superman is hanging on to Dick's batarang?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Nightwing made me giggle mostly, though I didn't totally understand how [spoiler] was meant to work.

Teppy, the bomb was meant to be dropped 200 feet, thus exploding when it hit the ground. The timer was a failsafe so if the altitude meter activated but didn't trigger the bomb, the timer would. It kind of confused me too, because it's not a very good failsafe: how does it know whether the altitude trigger was broken or it simply never dropped at all?

ita, I noticed that, too, and I totally expected Lois to notice and say something.

But in answer to your question, I believe the correct answer is: "Because Superman looooooooooves him...."

Though, probably, Supes just thought, "Cool! Free paperweight!"

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm gonna go with your correct answer, Steph, but I did wonder about crack reporter Lois not picking up on it.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

ita, denial.
