So, i read IC #6 at lunch, and my main comment is OMGWTF ATOM?!?, even though Victor and I were speculating very near the truth about the two main revelations (I had fingered someone else) in his LJ a few weeks ago.
Spike ,'Conversations with Dead People'
Other Media
Discussion of Buffy and Angel comics, books, and more. Please don't get into spoilery details in the first week of release.
I'm planning on:
LotDK #185
Gotham Central #25
Green Arrow #44
Identity Crisis #6
Nightwing #99
DX: WTF? I quit reading the title ages ago, and I'm not regretting.
amy, the weird thing is that it looks like most of fallout is going to irradiate the Batverse. First, they killed Jack Drake. Now it turns out that in addition to the JLA seven fiddling with Dr. Light's memories, they frelled with Batman's memories at the same time.
Expect massive ripples.
I'll be on the lookout for the ripple effects -- seems like they're setting up for some major shifts in the batfam as it is, what with War Games, so this would be the time.
I completely skipped War Games, so I have two questions
1 Is Spoiler really dead? Did we see the body, or did Leslie just tell Bats she didn't make it.
2 Spoiler caused War Games? She started it into motion? Why? What happened?
All the whitefontedness is driving me nuts!
Bil:
1 We saw her die in a long deathbed scene with Batman at her side in Leslie's clinic. She's dead.
2 I will make my eyes stop rolling for JUST long enough to say that she stole some master plans of Batman's for starting a gang war and gaining control of the city that depended on Matches Malone. She, of course, didn't know who Matches Malone really was. Her purpose in stealing the plans was to somehow prove to Batman that she COULD fight crime, damn it. The worst part of War Games was just how many freakin' IQ points the damn characters lost over the run of it. The whole thing was supposed to take place over a couple of days, but was drawn out into three acts, which didn't really work at all. Everyone was stupid. REALLY stupid. It was annoying.
To add on to Plei's:
1. and good riddance.
2. Characters dumb, plotting clunky and random and disconnected. This happens, and this other thing happens, and look something shiny over there, and yeah, whatev.
(Bil liked the idea of Steph as new Robin)
(Dumb stompy error. Apologies.)
