I picked up "Identity Crisis" #5 on the way to work.
Gack. There is carnage. And how many things connect now confuse me more than ever.
Discussion of Buffy and Angel comics, books, and more. Please don't get into spoilery details in the first week of release.

Yeah...who the crap is Captain Boomerang? Is he a villain or a hero? Is it normal for him to go around killing people? And why does his son have speed? Who's his son? Who the fuck is the Monocle? Who were all those people? What the fuck is going on? Why is Firestorm dead? Do I care?
The War Games titles were pretty good this week. Very nice panel layout in the last two pages of Batgirl.
more of an Ultimate-Spidey-was-getting-too-navel-gazey-for-me way.
The latest issue is called "Jump the Shark." And it involves, apparently, the notion that Logan and Peter have inexplicably switched bodies.
Yeah...who the crap is Captain Boomerang?
P.C., Captain Boomerang is a member of Flash's rogues gallery, albeit an aging one, so he's a villain. He's sort of a boomerang version of Green Arrow or Merlyn. He's also been featured throughout IC, so I find your surprise at seeing him, well, surprising.
The fact that his son has speed powers is a complete asspull.
P.C.
Huh. That's a new one.
I'm not surprised at seeing him. I just wasn't sure whether he was a hero or villain, and I was going to be more confused if he was supposed to be a hero. The whole "Captain" thing threw me off. And the touching father/son bonding moments. Et cetera.
Isn't Jesse Quick too young to be the mother of Boomerang's son? I can't think of any other female 20th century speedsters .
Unless Professor Zoom was more of a Reverse Flash than we'd previously been led to believe ...
I think the kid is a clone from the DNA of the Flash and his archnemesis, Capt. Boomerang. He and Superboy will form a support group.
Also, more seriously, Capt. Boomerang has always been a villain, but he was VERY prominent in Suicide Squad.
So, why is this murder so sloppy? I doubt Captain Boomerang is the Big Bad. He just walked in and would have left his trademark behind, totally fingering him for the crime. I wonder who's pulling the strings.
I'd say Calculator looks like the culprit, but it's hard to say. There's a lot that doesn't add up quite right.
In regards to IC, yeah, I'm thinking Captain Boomerang is not the culprit. I mean, he seemed pretty surprised when Tim's dad shot him.
Also, I don't have any familiarity with the character, but does he have a history engaging in "honorable duels" or wanting the other guy to have a "fighting chance"? If not, I'm thinking the real murderer is the guy who sent Tim's dad the gun.
Nah, CB's pretty much a scoundrel. He's never arm an opponent.
