Yeah, didn't mean to embarass, and I apologise if I did!

Discussion of Buffy and Angel comics, books, and more. Please don't get into spoilery details in the first week of release.
Ah - last. post. in here. I promise.
No - no. I'm embarassed because I was being a spaz in general - you guys didn't embarass me.
A lot of it is - you know, you lurk for a long, long time. You're like - are there any smarter, funnier people in the whole world? Why aren't these posts being written down and published for the world to learn from? And so - at some point - you figure what the hell and jump in - and - constantly think there is no way you could possibly be saying anything that anyone thinks is interesting - ergo embarassment when you get all super spazy. Because I realize good-spazy here is to be praised and enjoyed by all - but when you're just a spaz with no proof that there is a thoughtful and interesting person underneath - well, you know, I don't want to be that.
Then you're all self-concious and - "Is that paragraph I just wrote too flattering? Does it look like I am fishing for praise and approval or just making too big a deal in general? Because I'm not -I'm just wordy - really. Crap." - and so on.
Anyway - it's all cool is what I am trying to say.
I really am leaving now - as in for several days on vacation - so don't take my silence as self-banishment - I will be combing the comic book and record stores of Chicago. I'm sure I'll have way too much to say when I get back.
(envy!)
Have fun, and bring stories!

Go to Quimby's and report!
Okay, this has probably been discussed already but I don't have the time/patience to go through all of these forums looking for it...I was thumbing through a copy of "Pretty Maids all in a row" (Christopher Holden's Spike and Dru novel set during WWII-Buffy and History-two of my passions) and it occured to me almost immediately that Spike's mission in the book (given to him by some big bad demon whose name I don't recall; Skyrmir?) is pretty much the same as the First Evil's Season Seven goal (kill slayer, kill potentials, scales-of-good-and-evil-tipped, yadda-yadda-yadda)...any thoughts? I guess the book isn't really considered "canon" or else they could have had Spike saying something to the First about paying him royalties (a la Spike-Harmony in Real Me)

Whoops...clicked twice by accident.
Just call me Cornelius Two-Two.
Folks that read Pretty Maids thought it was an intriguing idea but poor execution. There was some recognition that S7 was going to cover the same ground.
Also, Pretty Maids got Jossed when "Fool For Love" came out and the Slayers that Spike killed were identified, and I think the book had a different set of Slayers that Spike killed in his background.
