Tara: Do you have any books on robots? Giles: Oh, yes, dozens. There's a lot of research to be done in order to--no, I'm lying. Haven't got squat. I just like watching Xander squirm.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I will be combing the comic book and record stores of Chicago. I'm sure I'll have way too much to say when I get back.

Go to Quimby's and report!

Take your fingers off it, don't you dare touch it, you know it don't belong to you, to you...

Okay, this has probably been discussed already but I don't have the time/patience to go through all of these forums looking for it...I was thumbing through a copy of "Pretty Maids all in a row" (Christopher Holden's Spike and Dru novel set during WWII-Buffy and History-two of my passions) and it occured to me almost immediately that Spike's mission in the book (given to him by some big bad demon whose name I don't recall; Skyrmir?) is pretty much the same as the First Evil's Season Seven goal (kill slayer, kill potentials, scales-of-good-and-evil-tipped, yadda-yadda-yadda)...any thoughts? I guess the book isn't really considered "canon" or else they could have had Spike saying something to the First about paying him royalties (a la Spike-Harmony in Real Me)

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Folks that read Pretty Maids thought it was an intriguing idea but poor execution. There was some recognition that S7 was going to cover the same ground.

"Don't think of yourself as an organic pain collector racing towards oblivion." Dogbert to Dilbert

Also, Pretty Maids got Jossed when "Fool For Love" came out and the Slayers that Spike killed were identified, and I think the book had a different set of Slayers that Spike killed in his background.

Art Crawl!!!

Last week when I went to the comic shop I noticed the c.s.i. comics -- did anybody pick those up? Are they good?

I have heard good things about the comic, but I haven't picked them up because of the price ($3.99 - ouch!)

I 've been hands under the shirt, over the bra, Calvins in a wad on the front seat with some S7 Buffy spoilers - but we never went all the way ~tinaf

I actually meant to post this a month ago, but it was when the board was in cardiac arrest and when it came up again I totally forgot. I worked at Media Play for like, a day, and the day I did work was the day they released Chosen the novel. So I bought it, and I thought some of it actually helped clear up the thought processes of some of the characters and the such. But many typos, I agree. Although in the actual ep of Chosen when they are talking about the mall, Willow says there is a new Arden B. at the mall, but in both the closed captions (I use them for obscure dialogue purposes) and in the novel it read as "Agnes B." Which was one of my more nitpicky things, but that was bugging me. It truly seems as though they just wanted this thing released very quickly so they could milk us for all we were worth...damn executives.
