Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Nightwing was kind of all over the place, wasn't it?

Yes, very. Never quite brought me anywhere. I know we're in the middle of a huge event, and I feel important stuff happened, but still, I also feel stranded some.

Nightwing *was* all over the place, but I'm still enjoying watching Dick inching closer to just losing his shit entirely. I *loved* his "Timmy?" -- I can't help it.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

At the end of Nightwing, was that Penguin ? If so, yay!

What was up with the art in LDK? I didn't like it very much.

There was a new Powers ! Very art-driven, with interesting uses of color. As for the cliffhanger, do we know that guy? I don't remember him.

And Pulse concluded its first storyline. It says the next one is called "Secret War," which makes me wonder if it crosses over or something.

Fables was fun, though I miss the regular artist.

I should be finding this 100 Bullets arc more interesting, but I'm finding it hard to follow since I'm reading so fast. The non-linear narrative makes it necessary to read slowly and refer back to previous issues to figure out what the hell is going on. But dammit, he threw in a nice cliffhanger.

UXM was good. The whole thing with tempting Rogue with bioengineering reminded me of Beast in AXM. And as I only jumped in last issue, was Wolverine/Storm out of nowhere or has it been growing? I remember it occurring in another X-title a few years ago, so I wasn't totally surprised.

Which X-title, P-C? I know they've kissed before, but it was always one of those "today is a good day to die" platonic jobbie dos. I am so in love with their friendship (like Modesty/Willie, it's one of my templates), but this is Ultimate, and stuff is different. I'm cool with that.

Art Crawl!!!

P-C -- yes that is exactly who it was, but do we think that Bats thinks that's who is behind all this?

Who are Modesty and Willie?

I don't remember which title, ita, but I remember seeing the cover...or actually, maybe that was Wolverine and Jean. Wolvy's biceps were as big as her head. This was after '99, so fairly recent. That might have been the cover, but I swear I'd heard about a Wolverine/Storm pairing somewhere else. Maybe it was just fanfic or something.

That seems to be the implication, and after reading NML, I don't think it's too foolish an assumption.

P-C, he does intermittently snog Jean, which I love beyond words. Cyclops is a dick.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Even though the scene goes against so much I believe in, it's also quite splendid.

Heh. I got to that part and thought "I wonder what ita's going to think."

My one question about the issue, though is we see the building Rogue is being held in in the background in the last shot one would think that even if the scent went dead, Wolverine would have noticed the gigantic pink explosion when Rogue blew out the window earlier.

Art Crawl!!!

Picked up LotDK 183 over lunch and now I feel as though parts of it may have been meant to come after NW 97. Just from small things --they could just be glitchiness from the sheer number of writers working on the story, but after Robin and Bats meet up and rather than act all happy to see each other (Oracle is so funny) Bats asks her to get in touch with "everybody" -- which includes Onyx who I thought first met up with what'shisface in NW 97.

sumi -- *which* whatshisface?

Also, in LotDK, I really really REALLY could have done without the torture scenes. And what was up with Leslie checking out adoption records?
