Congratulations to the class of 1999. You all proved more or less adequate.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Did Outsiders get bumped AGAIN? They didn't have it amongst the new stuff at my store.

Art Crawl!!!

They got bumped but my comics guy says it should be here today. (Going to comics shop after lunch.)

Did anyone go on their lunch hour?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I got it! It was fun. Second only to Ultimate X-Men, which got a hell of a meep, and I started re-reading it before I finished the others on my list. TT was predictable, NW was inconclusive, District X was ... well, I'm curious about part 6 of 6, so good job.

Thrive to spite them

I've got to go today and pick up this week's comics and last week's. I've majorly cut down on what I'm reading...I'm waiting for the War Games stuff to come out in tpb.

I really need an icon from this week's UX. Even though the scene goes against so much I believe in, it's also quite splendid.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

I got it, but only had time to breeze through it. Looked OK.

Art Crawl!!!

Argh! I forgot to pick up Legends of the Dark Knight.

I always forget what they're pulling for me and what not -- and I have a ton of stuff on hold. I'll have to go back tomorrow.

Nightwing was kind of all over the place, wasn't it?

Yes, very. Never quite brought me anywhere. I know we're in the middle of a huge event, and I feel important stuff happened, but still, I also feel stranded some.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Nightwing *was* all over the place, but I'm still enjoying watching Dick inching closer to just losing his shit entirely. I *loved* his "Timmy?" -- I can't help it.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

At the end of Nightwing, was that Penguin ? If so, yay!

What was up with the art in LDK? I didn't like it very much.

There was a new Powers ! Very art-driven, with interesting uses of color. As for the cliffhanger, do we know that guy? I don't remember him.

And Pulse concluded its first storyline. It says the next one is called "Secret War," which makes me wonder if it crosses over or something.

Fables was fun, though I miss the regular artist.

I should be finding this 100 Bullets arc more interesting, but I'm finding it hard to follow since I'm reading so fast. The non-linear narrative makes it necessary to read slowly and refer back to previous issues to figure out what the hell is going on. But dammit, he threw in a nice cliffhanger.

UXM was good. The whole thing with tempting Rogue with bioengineering reminded me of Beast in AXM. And as I only jumped in last issue, was Wolverine/Storm out of nowhere or has it been growing? I remember it occurring in another X-title a few years ago, so I wasn't totally surprised.
