Is anyone discussing Saturday's JLU?

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Hmmm. What rhymes with Phoenix?

Penis?

I mean, if you mumble a little, anyway.

There were a couple links in the DC-Clocktower LJ comm about it, but I haven't seen much here.

It was... interesting. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about the changes from the comic (one of Alan Moore's best), but it was certainly interesting to see the adaptation.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

What was the name of Kal-El's wife ? Can I assume that she was supposed to be an amalgam of Lana and Lois ? Did Dana Delaney do the voice? ( DD was the voice of Lois in TAS ).

Yes, Dana Delaney did that voice.

I was wondering about mystery wife as well. I wasn't sure if she was somebody that actually existed in canon, or totally made up for this episode. And was that dog supposed to be superdog? What about Van-el?

Wolfram, very little of this was made up for this episode. Though in the original story from which it was adapted, Robin (pre-Crisis Jason Todd) is there (it's his first time meeting Wonder Woman, leading Bats to look at him and say, "Think clean thoughts, chum."), and the rose is a gift from Bruce to Clark. The situation on Krypton was also more messed-up, etc., etc..

Though, I should add she's still an in his head creation.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

Art Crawl!!!

I figured that the whole Normal life fantasy was just that -- a fantasy because you see where he lives? Not at all like that.
