Lorne: Take care of yourself and ah, make sure fluffy is getting enough love. Gunn: Did he have anything? Fred: No. And who's fluffy? Are you fluffy? Gunn: He called me fluffy? Fred: He said make sure…wait. You don't think he was referring to anything of mine that's fluffy, do you? Because that would just be inappropriate.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Does that mean you'll be reading "Avengers," because I just picked up #500, the beginning of his "Avengers Disassembled" and, uhm, wow.

Damn you, wee Victor, I had no idea he was writing "Avengers" until just now!

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

So, no comments on the 'toon Teen Titans? Visually, it was the wittiest one after Mad Mod, IMO. Plus, I'm assuming that's the closest confirmation we're going to get that this Robin is Dick Grayson, because I don't think they'll state it flat-out.

And I just loved Raven grooving on the dark version of the city.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

And I just loved Raven

"Cool! Uh...I mean, oops."

I enjoyed it. I chatted with Ple about the Dick factor. It was good - Emmett's watched it about five times now.

I just bought Who Killed Retro Girl tonight after we watched Harry Potter on IMAX. (I can't believe I missed the chance to see Crouching Tiger there on IMAX. That would've kicked ass.)

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Damn you, wee Victor, I had no idea he was writing "Avengers" until just now!

Uh-huh. I think #500 was his first issue and, uhm, there's a body count.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

So was I. I'm always Cyclops on these things.

Which is odd since Scott Summers is the mutant least likely to write poetry, I would think.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Scott Summers is the mutant least likely to write poetry, I would think.

Least likely to write good poetry, I think. I wouldn't be too surprised to learn he has crappy angsty love verses tucked away somewhere.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Least likely to write good poetry, I think. I wouldn't be too surprised to learn he has crappy angsty love verses tucked away somewhere.

Hmmm. What rhymes with Phoenix?

Is anyone discussing Saturday's JLU?

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Hmmm. What rhymes with Phoenix?

Penis?

I mean, if you mumble a little, anyway.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Is anyone discussing Saturday's JLU?

There were a couple links in the DC-Clocktower LJ comm about it, but I haven't seen much here.

It was... interesting. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about the changes from the comic (one of Alan Moore's best), but it was certainly interesting to see the adaptation.
