The other employee kept saying "The Preacher. Finally I looked at a tpb of that but...I'm not sure...The premise sounds interesting but I'm not sure about spending the money on tpb and then not liking it.

ita, I'm not sure if Preacher would be your thing, I think it might be, but there's definitely freaky/gross incidents in the story.

I don't want to volunteer his comics for him, but you might consider asking Thomash if you could borrow his run. He's got the whole thing in TPB.

I thought it was one of the best comics I've ever read. I loved it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm not sure who you're quoting here -- it's not me. I already own the first four or five Preacher TPBs. It rocks.

Am I supposed to have a problem with freaky or gross?

What (if any) relation does this group have to the Outsiders from the 80s, the group that had Terra's brother in it?

Well, it's oddly parallel in that it's kinda run by Nightwing. Metamorpho is almost in it. Or almost Metamorpho is in it. And sometimes they interact with the Titans a little.

The generation that could change the world is still looking for its car keys.

The old Outsiders had no Robin, IIRC, but they were led by Batman, vaguely, in that he'd occassionally show up and mentor them (I need menting! Ment me!) and then disappear into the night again.

WHOOPS! That was askye. Nevermind.

Am I supposed to have a problem with freaky or gross?

No, I just would have made that warning to just about anybody. It wasn't meant as anything personal.

No, no Robin -- he was a Titan at the time. But Nightwing running a group with the same name as Batman's? Counts as an odd parallel to me.

True. Does he actually do anything, or just ment?

He's much more active than Batman was, and he co-leads with Arsenal. Or The Huntress, when Roy's not well.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Tomorrow is the new Powers #1!

I'm in the middle of The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay and am really looking forward to reading the Escapist trade paperbacks. Hee!

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I have now read Batgirl: Year One. Aside from my confusion over how old Dick and Babs are supposed to be, it's good stuff. Yes.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Metamorpho is almost in it. Or almost Metamorpho is in it. And sometimes they interact with the Titans a little.

Also, Black Lightning's daughter is on the team.

And Nightwing chose the name as an homage. It made Batman smile. When Nightwing's back was turned, of course.
