Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I hit up Borders yesterday. I now have Red Son on paper (and might loan that to my coworker, once I've fondled it a bit), NML #1, and the Ultimate Daredevil and Elektra.

I love Elektra so much, but so rarely. Her appearance on Daredevil up to her death, and the Hand sublot -- golden.

Most everything else? Ick.

I hope Ultimate treats her well. I heard she's getting her own Ultimate title.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It’s like fans get really, really upset when a character gets killed, and I’m like, have you ever read a comic before? Your survival rate, if you die in a comic, is like 99.9 percent!

Heh. Devin is the scarred old veteran.

Ple & Amych, poor Devin sounds beleaguered by stupid fans. You should drop her an email letting her know how #93 rocked your world.

1. Joker Last Laugh. It didn't stick. Someone was there to revive Joker.

I think the Joker has "died" more times (going back to his very first appearence in the 30/40s) than John Crichton and Darla combined, even if you aren't counting AUs.

Steph, had you not read Batgirl: Year One?

I just finished this the other night. It's really gooood.

That's truly impressive.

Moreso in Marvel than in DC, or at least that used to be the case.

I remember for a while in the 80's, the only character Marvel killed and kept dead was Guardian. A Canadian.

Didn't they eventually do a story where James Hudson did return, in EXACTLY the same manner as the extremely cheesy ruse Delphine Courtney used to get back at Heather?

I thought they killed the original Captain Marvel before that from cancer, and he hasn't returned.
