I went back and saw that it's coming out August 11th -- really not that far away.

Oh that'll have amych bunkward in no time.
Dude, been there all day.
I have returned from hunting and gathering at the comic store! My prey were few, but meaty:
Ultimate Spidey #61
Identity Crisis #1
the Nightwing/Huntress TPB
The store owner and I chatted about the DC-verse, specifically how the Bat-family is having a tough year, and he pimped the JLA title to me.
I see from Comics Continuum that the August and September Bat titles are all linked, continuing one story across all the titles. Intriguing. Though poverty-inducing.
Any NY based comics fans --
I have a ticket to attend a Johns/Rucka/Winick signing at the new Midtown Comics East (45 & Lex) on Thursday, June 24, from 5-7pm.
Since my momma raised me never to wait on line to see anyone who was in The Real World, except maybe that one crazy chick from the Hawaii season, I will not be attending. If you want it, you can have it.

Well, we were talking about Identity Crisis, and I said I was just getting into the DC-verse, and even that was limited to the Bat-family. He said a good way to get to know other major DC characters is via JLA.
I picked up a couple of Nightwings they were holding for me, GCPD, Birds of Prey (sure -- nothing happens but it's fun and snarky), Gotham Knights and the Outsiders.
(Teppy, aren't you reading the Outsiders?)

No, though I looked through it at the store. Same with BoP.

The way JLA's been written lately, it's the surest, best way to hate character you used to like with a fiery, consuming passion.
OK, the horrendous Byrne/Claremont story is over, so maybe it'll get better. Maybe it'll just feel good when the pain goes away.
