You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

He's rusting in the fjords.

I have a plan.

Sure, sure. You just try nailing that steely hide to a perch.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I'm beside myself at Kitty Pryde. Not only does the character rock, I love the actress. I hope she's back in X3.

I believe I read the actors playing Kitty and Colossus, as well as a couple others, signed a two movie deal when they were cast in X2.

Up to 1983 in my X-Men reading. Maddy Pryor just got introduced. However, since they just changed artists the big reveal shot where you're supposed to realize she looks like Jean completely fails. Magneto has recently been ret-conned into being a noble villain, a Holocaust survivor and a former friend of Xavier's. No anti-telepathy helmet yet, though.

Also, just introduced is Kitty's new costume which is this hideous green jumpsuit with a high yellow collar and green war-paint looking stuff around her eyes. Please tell me this doesn't last long. At least the technicolor roller-derby outfit was meant to be awful.

Havoc's costume? Still dumb. (Can't believe a costume that lame hasn't changed once in 15+ years.)

I may have to seize the cat.

Kitty was in the first X-Men movie as well, played by a different actress. A friend of mine suggested Jewel Staite would be a good choice to play her, if they spent more movie-time on her, but I think as they've chosen to go with a 15 yr oldish Kitty, then she's too old now. If we were looking at 20-something Kitty, I'd be holding up the "Jewel for Kitty" banners.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Did Kitty make it past the cuts in #1? I only remember her in the deleted scenes.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Only very briefly. No lines.

Kitty was mentioned once - in the opening scene - and then after the class before Wolvie gets introduced to Xavier, she walks through the wall. Either she forgot something and had to come back or she just left the class very slowly, I don't remember which.

Didn't she run back and put an apple on Prox. X's desk? Or am I imagining that?

I think so. Then she phased through the door on the way out.

Coffee, black:

Also, "Identity Crisis" comes out today. DC comics murder mystery, written by Brad Meltzer, who's work on "Green Arrow" seriously kicked. Supposed to feature the "Satellite Era" JLA--Green Arrow, Hawkman, Atom, Black Canary, Zatanna and Elongated Man. Previews look awesome.

Does anybody else wish we had a "Joss signal?" I'm of a mind to pick the big guy's brain about the state of American comics.
