I'm pissed, because I can't find my TPBs of either The Judas Contract or the Dark Phoenix Saga.

Discussion of Buffy and Angel comics, books, and more. Please don't get into spoilery details in the first week of release.
Oww, Gandalfe. Those are two of my top five (don't ask for the other three, I can never name all of them) arcs.
Hopefully my copies have not turned to swamp soup in storage. This year. I'll get them this year.
JLA: World Without Grown Ups
Damn. That was at Half-Price Books a week or two ago, and I bypassed it because I thought it was some weird alterna-verse thing where the JLA regressed to childhood. (No, really -- I *did.* With a title like that, what else are you going to think?)
And I do have A Kid's Game. But I still find Bart to be a big dork, even with MM's whitefont.
He's so less dorky now, to me. Well, all the Titans are a bit on the impulsive dorky side. He's now got more ammo.
I blame it on my kids.

No, that's Sins of Youth. And it has (what the hell, I'm gonna say it) BATWOOBIE. Ahem. Sorry. Just something about Bats as a teen gets me every single time. Actually, Sins of Youth has a lot of meat beneath the goofy.
I adore Bart with the same sort of unreasonable love I generally fling Dickward.
the Dark Phoenix Saga
I've only read this Black & Whited in the Essential.
It's such a good story.
...you people are evil. I think comics are going to replace genre TV in my world of entertainment. Does that mean I can take that $40/month I won't be spending on cable and instead spend it on comics?
Kalshane, while Professor X has done some, uh, grey things in regular continuity, he's usually a pretty upfront, idealistic guy. This menacing manipulation bit is really only in the Ultimate-verse.
I'd go into withdrawal if I didn't visit the comic store for a whole month.
I usually go once a month, because I get stuff pulled for me. But if there's something special, or I'm hunting for back issues, I'm there weekly.
the Dark Phoenix Saga
I've only read this Black & Whited in the Essential.
It really is so good. I have the TPB in color, and the Essential. Just because you can never have too many copies of the genocide of the Asparagus People.
My pull-list for New Comics Day (FTR, I know I spend more on comics that any sane person should):
Detective #795 - second part of the two-part story that has Batman meet Tarantula.
Scratch #1 - Batman tracks down a werewolf in a 5-part mini. Written and drawn by Sam Kieth - I'll give it a shot.
Superman Birthright #11 - By this time, I'm just collecting it to keep the run intact.
Firestorm #2 - Trying to catch clues if this ties in to Identity Crisis at all, and giving the book a chance.
Y The Last Man #23 - It's been almost 2 years on this amazing book? Wow. I don't think an issue has disappointed me yet.
B.P.R.D. Plague of Frogs #4 - Penultimate issue of mini - supposed to get some revelations about Abe Sapien's origins in this one. Guy Davis' art is complimenting Mignola's story perfectly.
Ultimate Fantastic Four #6 - Final issue of first arc - I wish I had waited for the trade, the story moves so slow. I wll probably continue with the title, as Warren Ellis takes over on #7.
Thor #80 - I'm a Thor fan, so I've been collecting this since I got into major comic purchases. New team and story.
I mostly pick up the mainstream titles because that's what my store stocks. I have a difficult time getting indy stuff unless it's already on my pull list or I've pre-ordered it, and I rarely pre-order, as it's such a hassle. I wish there was a good comics store in my area.
Thanks, Snacky. Most of my experience is with the various cartoons over the years, with the occaisional comic and summary thrown in. I wasn't sure if things weren't just being lightened up "for the kiddies" in the animated world.
Just finished up the UXM I have downloaded. Which means I'm out of comics (well, I downloaded a big batch of old school X-Men, like starting with the original first issue, but I don't know if I can put up with the 60s cheesiness.) Good thing I'm going to the comic store tomorrow.
