On rewatching Starcrossed, I think this is one of the very most ass-kicking Wonder Woman editions we've ever seen. With a pulse cannon in her hands blasting down space ships, with a sword facing down mobs of Thangarians, breaking out of jail with her thighs and a headbutt.

That sword action was amazing.
Another Batverse question: "Ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?" -- did that precede the movie?

No, I think that was from the movie originally.
Though movie continuity is one of the only (few?) places where The Joker is the killer of Bruce's parents. Originally it was Joe Chill. Then it was just generic nameless hood. I don't know what it is now, but nameless hood is better for the psychodrama itch which can never be scratched.
Also on Starcrossed? Three of Amych's obsessions in conjunction: Wonder Woman with sword, kissing Batman (not while she had the sword, but still).
Reading Elseworlds in huge gobbets means I've found out I have company on my "but there for the grace of god" Batman theory. A fair number of authors have chosen the angle that Bruce Wayne loses himself in the battle against whoever he sees as the cause of his parents' death, even if he needs to abstract it out a bit.
Napier has gotten involved in that murder directly once so far, I think, and at a remove at least once.
What I found odd was that Thomas Wayne has been evil twice now.

I love the "Oh! We must kiss so they don't find us!" cliche -- well, mostly I love seeing how the couple deals with it afterwards. JL got a thumbs up from me.
People who know comics biz better than I do: does the fact that there have been no Nightwing TPBs after issue 50-something mean that there won't be anymore? I don't want to spend time and money scrounging for back issues if I can help it.

There will definitely be more TPBs. That's got to be their bread and butter these days. (CaBil?) They probably just want to collect them in meaningful story arcs. There may be other scheduling delays that have to do with behind the scenes stuff, but I'm sure they'll be out eventually.

That was my understanding as well, which is why I was confused by the timelag.
TPBs are now more profitable than most series indidivual issues, but some series support TPBs better than others. For instance, Y the Last Man makes far more money in trade than in the single issues.
It could be that the Nightwing TPBs don't generate the numbers needed, or that there are other
What happened to Franklin Richards? He was really cute. Completely not Cousin Oliver, but I was more reading him in Power Pack than in Fantastic Four. Which makes me wonder what happened to the Powers kids ...
The Powers kids turned up in New Warriors after it turned to crap when Nicieza (sp) left. The oldest had gained theability to steal the powers from the others by touching them or some thing.
Well, bah. I didn't catch Starcrossed, and it isn't the 10:30 p.m. Sunday JLA. Stoopid Cartoon Network.
