I'll just jump in my time machine, go back to the twelfth century, and ask the vampires to postpone their ancient prophesy for a few days while you take in dinner and a show.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Hawkeye is the world's greatest archer.

No, Green Arrow is. :)

Man, Rorschach is fucked UP.

Rorschach makes Batman look like Superman in the sanity department.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Then why does John bother saving anything ever? Wherein lies his motivation?

Never said John wasn't a hero. We're just talking about what defines a "super-hero," and I guess I'm arguing that it's not just having super-powers and being a hero. I'd have to say that the hero part is magnified.

I don't think John's a super-hero. I do, however, think he's a much better character for not being so.

So, Motor City Comic Con -- anybody ever been? Dragon*Con has spoiled me, and I'm not sure I care to spend $18 plus drive across the state just to see the likes of Alphonso Ribeiro.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I guess I'm arguing that it's not just having super-powers and being a hero. I'd have to say that the hero part is magnified.

I'm interested in knowing who else you think is both super and heroic but not a superhero.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

See, I was thinking about it, too. Though my impetus is Julie Benz.

Well, seeing as how I'm not terribly interested in most of the guests, the only reason I'd go is probably the dealer's room. If there is one.

I may have to seize the cat.

Spirit gum. Clearly. That stuff is awesome.

Nah, you can't breathe if it's near your nose. They must do it some other way.

Costume? Not so much, but I think she can get a pass on it.

I dunno, did she ever fight *not* in high heels? Maybe she just had *a lot* of costumes.

...Perhaps there are heroes and superheroes, and the difference there is the power/resources? If you want to leave out "the mission" OR accept "Crazy vigilante justice" as a mission, Punisher makes the cut - he's got all his fun military resources (anybody else read the comics exclusively devoted to naming, numbering, and describing all his toys?) that most folks don't. Is there not something in your very own mentality that makes you a hero or not?

Can you DECIDE to be a superhero? Or is it just something you are?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Nah, you can't breathe if it's near your nose. They must do it some other way.

I always could! I, umm, still have a bunch of it for reasons related to crossdressing. Though it's a pain in the ass to strip off. Hurts.

I'd swear there's something in one of my comics about how Nightwing keeps the mask on, but I'm probably smoking crack.

I may have to seize the cat.

I always could!

But how MUCH of it did you have to use? See? If it's got to be all around your eyes and over your nose? Blech.
