Oh, it's just that I haven't bothered to get an Ann Arbor library card, and I don't really have that much time to read for pleasure as it is.

Mah brothah!

I'm going to attempt to hook Jilli. Pete should live in fear.
Already am, Plei. Already am.
You'd think Bats would be a natural for her.
Oh, she's read plenty of Batman, and other comics besides. She's just not hooked like Pimpish Plei.
I think *Dick* would be a natural for her. I mean, she could spend hours picturing his pretty self in eyeliner.
Very disturbed by the "*"'s in that post. Very.
Y'know I grew up reading superhero comics and yet I can't give much of a damn about them now. Except Promethea, but that doesn't really count.
You know when you think if only you could enjoy something you would enjoy it very much, and it seems like this is something that could work for you?
That was Promethea for me. I bought the first TPB, but it grabbed me not a whit.

Well, I wouldn't say *plenty*. And it was a while ago. And without the benefit of wacky fandom theories & analysis, which just might make all the difference.
However, I think I need to re-read all of Sandman, Promethea, and Transmetropolitan. And possibly Stray Toasters.
