Catching up: Re, the City of Heroes MMPORPG; I've got a friend who's been playtesting it for quite some time and he loves it. The options for designing your costume are vast and no one can have the same outfit.
Also, those little Buffy Block figures? They've just put up images of Season 1 Buffy, Willow and Darla here(scroll down). The Willow one is cute.
An interview with Neil Gaiman about 1602. At last, a mystery solved:
JP: What was the deal with the dinosaurs? I understand why the Forerunner’s arrival would have prompted the universe to create the other "Marvels". But what does Captain America have to do with prehistoric creatures?
NG: It's the ripple effect; it's alluded to in the Watcher's big speech on the splash page of #3, and in #6. Cap's arrival was like a stone dropped into a pond: one of the things it changed was that the Savage Land effect now covered most of America. A long time ago, different animals went extinct, different animals lasted. Even the housecats were sabre-toothed... Luckily, the laws of narrative meant that you didn't get a Bradbury butterfly effect going on.
It looks like CaBil was right.
Yeah, I'm really really tempted to play City of Heroes, and I've never been tempted by a MMPORG before. Well, except Rekonstruction, and that's because one of my buddies is the VP. Well, that, and it's real-time and can support over 1,000,000 concurrent connections. Which, wow.

I have no time for CoH, because I'm in the World of Warcraft beta, but I'm hearing tons of good stuff about City of Heroes, for a carebear (ie. no player v. player) game.

They just announced the first expansion - City of Villains. It's a good assumption that you'll be able to battle then, ya?
And I think villains can PvP other villains.
Beast looks a lot like Bucky from Get Fuzzy.
Just a reminder that Tales of the Vampires #5 and The Adventures of the Escapist #2 are due in the stores today, according to the The New Comic Book Releases list.
What is The Adventures of the Escapist about?

It's a comic based on the comic book characters in Michael Chabon's Kavalier and Clay. Chabon wrote one story in the first issue.
