So true.
Skipping a bit: have you guys seen this? I'm not usually into superhero games or MMPORPGs, but a friend has sold me on trying it at least. I'm Jena SeQuois, but I don't know how often I will be in.
Discussion of Buffy and Angel comics, books, and more. Please don't get into spoilery details in the first week of release.

Plei's Marvel/DC (comic book slash, hee) epiphany just led me to one of my own. Writing/acting issues aside, the biggest problem with Smallville is that while the Luthors still feel very DC, the rest of the show is trying to do Supes as a Marvel comic. So there's at least two levels of cognitive dissonance going on, and not in a fun way.
How would you describe Supes as being Marvel?
The stuff they're doing with Clark reminds me a lot more of Spidey than of Superboy, for one. Financial troubles, girl troubles, trying to keep a secret identity while in high school. That all seems very Marvel to me.
Granted, my heavy duty DC days are more from the 60s (via my older brother's extensive collection of DC) and 70s, so DC may have changed quite a bit. My latter day DC stuff was mostly Sandman/Hellblazer with the occasional Bat-story thrown in, but we're talking the Jason era.
I don't think even the Marveliest Marvel character is as whiny as SmallvilleClark, aka SuperTool. :)
So, are we actually expecting to see TotV part 5 tomorrow? Or is Dark Horse being over optimistic?

That was kinda my reflex. But I never got into Spiderman, or anything. And the mutant stuff insulated itself from the real world.
Now that I think about it, having been a large Titans fan, I didn't read much about people trying to have normal lives.

Frank, I'm right with you, probably for the same reasons.

Peter Parker was incredibly whiny early on. Scott Summers...

Well, I'll buy it. Does that count? Each issue has brought me roughly 15 minutes of mild amusement, although it doesn't really stand out much, does it?
I was never able to find a copy of TotV 4. Newbury's let me down big time.
