That's exactly the role that turned me off him (well, that and Captain Corelli's Mandolin, snerk). Way over the top. Batman needs to be way more of a repressed seether than that for my money. YBWV.

I SO need that movie on DVD. It was a great black comedy, and again, nekkid Christian Bale.

I realize that I'm one of about 5 people that liked Reign of Fire, but he did repressed seething in that pretty well.
(Reign of Fire is a movie that works better once you realize it's not supposed to be a big "Oooh! Special Effects Extravaganza!" movie, but a kinda low-key British buddy movie.)

Christian Bale is a very good actor. I look forward to seeing him as Bats.
I'm glad to hear others of you liked it. Almost everyone Pete & I know thought we had gone insane when we said we liked RoF.
There were parts of RoF I liked, but overall I was extremely disappointed with it. My favorite part is probably when they do the play for the kids.
Speaking of Kilmer, did anyone else get a Kilmer-as-Mad Martigan-vibe off of the Groosalug before Cordy cleaned him up? (In appearance, not behavior.)
