"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

The CB in my head is an awkward young gay boy with horrible outfits and a dopey grin.

Does he ever turn to the camera and say, "And now we're going to suck corporate cock!" with a big grin?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Does he ever turn to the camera and say, "And now we're going to suck corporate cock!" with a big grin?

I so wish I'd seen that.

Because he would. With lipstick.

I can't even.

Isn't that what he usually plays?

He's too, I dunno, meta? po-mo? for me. And the thought of him as Bats, well, means more of BaleBats for them as wants 'em.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Has no one here seen American Psycho? Buff beyond belief and just a hint of regret that he's gone too far (after, say, killing friends and prostitutes). Perfect for Bats in my book.

The scene with Jared Leto and the Huey Lewis monologue is about the funniest thing I have ever seen in my life.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

but Kilmer's freaky looking.

I dig the freaky.

(Besides, it's not as though he looks like a Picasso....)

That's exactly the role that turned me off him (well, that and Captain Corelli's Mandolin, snerk). Way over the top. Batman needs to be way more of a repressed seether than that for my money. YBWV.

Christian's plenty repressed in Velvet Goldmine.

Up to the rooftop scene.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Because while BLACK KISS was...interesting, it sure as hell wasn't good.

Interesting is a way to describe it, I suppose. I really should check and see if the 12 issues are worth anything, 'cos I own them and feel no real need to keep them.

I SO need that movie on DVD. It was a great black comedy, and again, nekkid Christian Bale.

I realize that I'm one of about 5 people that liked Reign of Fire, but he did repressed seething in that pretty well.

(Reign of Fire is a movie that works better once you realize it's not supposed to be a big "Oooh! Special Effects Extravaganza!" movie, but a kinda low-key British buddy movie.)

I'm another one. *raises hand and waves*

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I also liked it, but I prefer to view it as a post-colonial discussion.
