Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Friday's good. I forgot that you're in town Saturday. That would be OK too.

Yes, I am biased about it, because of something Kevin admitted to me when he gave me the print-out.

Oh My God! I know Penny Dreadful and didn't even realize it!

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Teppy, I'm gonna put your copy of #1 (or was it five? lord, I can't remember) in the mail before I leave for New York.

Thanks, sweetie. It's #1.

Dude. A friend of mine said she'd alert me when the X-Men reboot happens this summer so I can start collecting again, and it didn't actually occur to me until just now that it means... Joss.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Not batty (really! for once!) but there's an interesting essay up at Sequential Tart about teaching Transmetropolitan in a college writing class.

Or, maybe mostly interesting to me. But still.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

Just re-read Batman: Year One

Compared to Dark Knight Strikes Again

Thought: "Drugs. The anti-quality storytelling."

hip deep in pie

Does anyone have some recs of comics that would be good for a 7 year old? My nephew is in the hospital recovering from having his tonsils taken out, and I thought that comics would be a good thing to send him. I don't think he's had any exposure to comics before, so I'd like to start him off. (and he never seems thrilled when I buy him books.)

Nothing too boobalicious, gory, and nothing with bugs, please.

Any of the comics based on the Animated Adventures of Superman or Batman would be good, I would think. Or the comics based on Batman: Beyond.

Yes. I even read "The Batman Adventures" every month right now, and I love it. Too bad it's about to get canned. *sigh*
