River: You're not right, Early. You're not righteous. You've got issues. Early: No. Oh, yes, I could have that. You might have me figured out, then. Good job. I'm not 100%.

"Don't think of yourself as an organic pain collector racing towards oblivion." Dogbert to Dilbert

It should be noted that it is on the shipping list for the 21st, which is a projected list. There have been times (admittedly rare), when items that appear on "Next Week's Shipping List" don't make it to "This Week's Shipping List" the next time. Usually, that happens when there is a problem at the printer or with a Diamon warehouse, though.

The original solicit date for The Escapist #2 was March 3, and a collection of the first 2 issues was supposed to come out originally on March 17. Who knows when that will come out.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

There's talk in Bureaublahblah about repurposing this thread to make it a general comics thread. Which it already is, pretty much, IMO, but we'd make it official somehow. Got an opinion of your own? Head thee to Bureaucracy!

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I know it's not Jossverse, but it does have vampires, witches, humor and pop-culture (as well as literary) references: White Wolf is putting up a novel by Kevin Andrew Murhpy on their website in 8 parts. Parts 1 and 2 are up now

Oh. My. God.

I have a very battered print-out of that novel, that Kevin gave me in '97 or '98. It's very, very fun. Yes, I am biased about it, because of something Kevin admitted to me when he gave me the print-out, but it's still a fun read.

Wow. (bookmarks the site)

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Did he base a character on you too?

Man, we gotta start getting you royalties.

I better think of a prize to give you for guessing.

That's what Pete keeps saying.

Dork Tower, White Wolf, Gothic Lolita.... ijs.

hip deep in pie

Bureaublahblah

Now that's an apt thread title.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

That's very cool. I'm guessing WW asked him to write it and then never got around to publishing it, then?

Hmm. Sorry to say I don't know Jilli well enough to guess which of the Waydowners is based on her.

BTW, it's up to Part 5 for anyone interested.

If I only had a brain...

Oops, Jilli, I asked you a question in Bitches. I followed the link to that novel, and what exactly is happening to White Wolf? Are they going out of business?

Yup. Something WW was rather infamous for doing, too.

Well, a few hints:

I'm a Perkygoth. I wear gothy NeoVictorian & Edwardian clothes every day. I have been described by complete strangers as The Gothic Mary Poppins.

I *really* need to track down Kevin's email addy and say hello. It's been a few years.
