I have a very battered print-out of that novel, that Kevin gave me in '97 or '98. It's very, very fun. Yes, I am biased about it, because of something Kevin admitted to me when he gave me the print-out, but it's still a fun read.
That's very cool. I'm guessing WW asked him to write it and then never got around to publishing it, then?
Did he base a character on you too?
Hmm. Sorry to say I don't know Jilli well enough to guess which of the Waydowners is based on her.
BTW, it's up to Part 5 for anyone interested.
Oops, Jilli, I asked you a question in Bitches. I followed the link to that novel, and what exactly is happening to White Wolf? Are they going out of business?

Yup. Something WW was rather infamous for doing, too.

Well, a few hints:
I'm a Perkygoth. I wear gothy NeoVictorian & Edwardian clothes every day. I have been described by complete strangers as The Gothic Mary Poppins.
I *really* need to track down Kevin's email addy and say hello. It's been a few years.
Not Jilli, but nope, they're just ending their original run of World of Darkness games and will be starting up a new one this summer. Not sure how much difference there's going to be between the old and the new.

Ah, well here's hoping you've never had to actually deal with ancient witches seeking vengeance against you or your lunch box exploding due to rapidly enlarging phalli.

From the gossip I've heard, not a whole lot of difference. However, all my friends in the Camarilla (a live-action role-playing club based off of the Vampire and Werewolf RPGs) are excited about The End Of The World.
Of course, if you believe Dork Tower, the new game will be Fluffy Bunny: The Hopping. Which made me laugh and laugh and laugh.

No, thank goodness. And while I'm pretty sure my cat (Dread Beast)
can
talk, he's never bothered to prove it. Or show that he can drive a car.
So is it intentional or a coincidence that there's also a character named Pete who has a thing for your alter-ego in the book?
Or show that he can drive a car.
Well, as long as the car stays sober, you're good if he tries.

I suspect it's mostly coincidence, as my Pete loudly insists he's Not A Goth.
Mostly
coincidence, with possibly a smidge of intentional.
