The BBC has also commissioned a British-based spin-off of the Buffy show, called The Watcher, which Buffy's creator, Joss Whedon, is writing. Now that Head is back at home with his partner Sarah Fisher and their two daughters, he hopes to divide his time between acting and working with animals that have behavioural problems.

Written by Neil Gaiman, illustrations by Dave McKean. It's keen.

The BBC isn't saying much-- there've been rumours for a long while (TVtome gave September 2002 as a premiere date, then July 2003). In July, the BBC were saying don't hold your breath; and as far as I know, that's still the offical line.
Give it time. The BBC only just renewed Doctor Who. Speed is not their strong point.
But yeah, damn for the time being.
