Discussion of Buffy and Angel comics, books, and more. Please don't get into spoilery details in the first week of release.
Fantagraphics to reprint entire 50 year run of Peanuts.Excellent. I've been hoping they would, because Schulz needs to have his reputation rescued from his long slide through mediocrity. Peanuts was one of the all-time great (and radical) strips for it's first 10-15 years.
Not sure if I'd watch it every week as the heroes, except for Raven (every superhero team should have it's own Wednesday Addams)...
Teen Titans got me back into reading DC Comics in the 80s, largely because of how mysterious and intriguing the Raven character was. I recall loving it when the Brotherhood of Evil chased her all over New York, caused her to hallucinate about her inner fears, and then found out much to their dismay that her Daddy issues included him waking up and manifesting through her.
Teen Titans rocked, in the Perez days -- Tara/Geoforce was great, and also Cyborg.
I also have more appreciation for the soap-operatic musical beds subplots now that I've had years of Dawson's Creek cast rumors to open my eyes about such things. Not quite so unbelievable as I once thought them to be.

I've seen precisely half an episode of the TT cartoon, and I gotta admit, I wasn't into it. Will give it another try sooner or later, I'm sure.
I loved the Titans in the Wolfman/Perez days. One of the best runs on a super-hero comic ever. The recent run, while it had its moments, kind of sucked. Everytime I read it, I kept thinking about the old book's lead in: "They are the best there are," how these kids were supposed to be hot shit because they were trained by the likes of Batman, the Flash, et al. The recent version made them kind of inept, and it REALLY grated.
The version just launched, with the new Robin, the new Wondergirl, Superboy and Impulse, along with Cyborg acting a lot like Cyborg, Starfire, Changeling (I refuse to call him Beast Boy) and, soon, Raven, has been very promising. Hoping to goodness it doesn't start sucking.
Wolfman actually scripted one of the cartoon episodes, the one with Aqualad.

Hmm. Wolfman writing Aqualad. The Mad Mod.
I evidently saw the one crap episode. The one where some robot guy wanted to turn Cyborg into a more-robot type, and then at the end he realized what he was missing being human, and there was hugs and everyone was friends, or something like that.

Well, I enjoyed all the ancillary stuff in the Mad Mod episode, but I was cheering every time Robin got smacked down. He totally annoyed the fuck out of me - he's O.D.ing on the "I'm gonna get you" testosterone a little on the young side (hormones, I guess).

Yes to this. I think the series has rocked out of the gate. Geoff Johns has already said more about the current Robin (Tim Drake) with one line than Jon Lewis has said in his 18+ issues that he has had the Robin comic.
So, did anybody else pick up last week's Buffy comic. At least they are ending the series on a relatively (for the comic) strong note. The book really suffers from the lacksadaisical pencils of Pascoe, though. The painted panels by Bruce Horton look great, but when you get to the regular panels, it's just bleah.
