More former than latter. I was thinking something of similar weight to the content would be more easily registered, especially among compulsive readers. My eyes skip right over the smalltext.

Do you have problems, concerns or recommendations about the technical side of the Phoenix? Air them here. Compliments also welcome.
Me? I don't want to be forced to look at it every time I load a page. Seems unfriendly to me for some reason I can't quite articulate.
Why did we ever cut it off? I'm trying to think ... WX does cut it off, TT didn't, PF didn't.
I like it better there. I hope it would cut down on not only natter in un-nattery threads, but outraged objections to deletions in un-nattery threads. Also help with knowing where the to do list is (or that there is one -- once a header is modified, who ever sees the modifications if they're already into the thread) or the F2F info, or the Boxed Set rules, or whatever.
I like 'em. Small font is good.
Small font, for the record, is currently bugging the shit out of me. It's just not for reading casually. It's for looking to find, which isn't what I was hoping to address.
I like that it's there. I hardly ever remember that there's information at the beginning of threads. I do skim over the smaller size, I think.
The problem I have with the regular size font is that it takes up a lot of page real estate. It dominates the page. What about small but bold, i.e. class="tagtext"?
Personally don't like the bold. Perhaps the same font color as the quotes if you wanted it to stand out.
Tag text is even smaller. Don't like that at all.
I find the tagtext version somewhat less readable than the smaller-than-full-size. The large really was too large and real-estate hogging, IMO, especially on a smaller monitor.
