No other candidate is asking the hard questions, like "Did geophysicists assassinate Jim Henson?" or "Why is there hydrogen in America's water supply?" --defective yeti

I missed the discussion for these new functions, even though I've been lurking for a couple weeks. (Which makes them a nice surprise!) So I ask something you've probably already thought of. Would it take Javascript or something to make the "Jump to" function default to today's date? I'd imagine that's the most common use of that button. And if it has not been discussed before and I am proposing feature creep on the first day it's available, I apologize for causing stress.

I am Not In Charge Around Here

Hey, I'm totally not in charge. Things are my fault, not my responsibility.

And I only poked my head here in order to thank everybody who worked on the new features - they're great, and I love it that there's a link on top of the page and the actual boxes at the bottom, and now I really want to have something I need to search, only, well, I guess I'll have to be mature and wait until I actually do, and not start playing with it and exhausting resources. You guys are great, thank you!

Now tagless for your comfort.

Just poking my head in here to see if Nilly minds me tagging this. It's a phrase of beauty.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I made some changes to the code, most of which changes aren't apparent -- the only thing that shows through is a change on the Set Profile screen, where the thread name is prefixed by the folder name (like "Site Administration/Buffistas Building A Better Board").

The upshot is that we can folder (and subfolder) now. At least at a basic level -- I should put in breadcrumbs at the very least. Also link prettifying to translate a link to a folder ("http://buffistas.org/index.php?folder_id=2") to something nicer (like Site Tools & Archives).

Later.

information libertarian

I now have Apocalyse and COMM in my center-of-the-page list of subscribed threads, in addition to having them on the right side. Is this intentional?

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

That's not happening for me. I'm pretty sure it's not intentional.

This page doesn't appear to be working yet.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

That's not happening for me. I'm pretty sure it's not intentional.

Are you subscribed to those threads? I am, and I see them in the middle as well.

Okay, check that. I don't see them in the middle on the Home page, but they do show up in the middle in the Message Center, so the way subscribed admin type threads are handled must be broken. (I have Press there, as well.)

Cashmere, I'd be honored.
