you should have very little difference, but much greater compatibility.
compatibility with what?
There's lots of tables with specific pixel-sized dimensions, especially in the left-hand column. If I make the font-sizes all percentages, it'll wreak havoc with the layout.
And FYI, the base size was 14px.
I got this header for Natter at 1:03 a.m. -- that's the *new* 1:03, after the time change. Please note the number of new messages.
Natter 3: My Life and Times of Me, as Seen by Me (1068 messages, -6 new)
And this is what I got 3 minutes later:
Natter 3: My Life and Times of Me, as Seen by Me (1070 messages, -4 new)
Then when I clicked in the Natter thread, the final post said 1074 of 1072:
Caroma - Oct 27, 2002 1:47:08 am EDT #1074 of 1072
Is it just b/c of the time change?
Oohhh! I didn't connect that with Daylight Savings! It's gotta be connected with the time change! ita where are you?!
It's kind of cool-looking.
And now I just posted in Bitches, but the posts are all out of order. Like, my new post is wedged in the middle of older posts.
I think you'll find that the posts are roughly in chronological order except that the board innards don't take into account the time change. So a post at the "new" 1:15 am (which would have been 2:15 am if not for the time change) gets moved back an hour and is positioned near the messaged posted at the first "old" 1:15 am. It's not exactly that, but it's close. No, I can't explain why either.
Interesting. Let me look at the code and see what they're ordered by.
