Buffy: A Guide, but no water or food. So it leads me to the sacred place and then a week later it leads you to my bleached bones? Giles: Buffy, really. It takes more than a week to bleach bones.

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

I just tried to get into Goodbye and Good Riddence and I got this error message:

502 Connection Failed. This Web page could not be opened. There may be too many people accessing this page or the page may be unavailable. Please try again later.

I went back to try again and it worked. Just thought I'd let you all know.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Daniel suggested I mention this here: The show quotes at the top of the pages, the ones that randomly refresh for each new click - at least for me, they have been coming up about 7:1 Firefly to Buffy.

Is it some weird statistical anomaly, or is it just how the selections in the database are skewed at the moment? Or is the board trying to educate me on how great Firefly is, seeing as I haven't seen it?

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Windsparrow, it's that the database has a lot more Firefly quotes than the other shows, because Nilly supplied her entire list of Firefly quotes.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

There are 1000 quotes in the system, and 720 of them are from Firefly. I forget who's currently in charge of collecting and formatting quotes for delivery to me -- if there is actually anyone -- but I haven't received any new ones despite the initial shock at the new distribution.

Aha, thanks, Consuela. Thought it might be something like that but I wasn't sure.

And thanks, too, Ita. Is the formatting to be done mostly grunt-work that would be easy to explain to someone with a very basic knowledge of html (i.e. me. eep, I think I just semi-volunteered) or is it something best done by someone who already knows enough about the running of this board to not need instructions?

Cuz I have been known to grunt.

Err....

Swouncing

Oy. Everything is my fault.

Art Crawl!!!

ita -- I tried to send you some about a month ago. Actually, I think I sent it to the stompies e-addy.

Does that not get to you? Or did I not format them correctly?

Not everything, Nilly - the sinking of the Titanic was all me.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Given that we're all deathmatched out at the moment, we could maybe figure out a way to take Nilly's list and winnow it down to, say, a top one hundred.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Does that not get to you?

I saw an e-mail from the 19th asking about formatting, which I thought I'd replied to, but no, I didn't see actual quotes.

Going back into the admin mailbox reminds me -- the FAQs probably need deep rehauls (beathen points out we know what happened to Miss Kitty Fantastico). I also remember this being discussed and even performed (though not put up) earlier -- am I making things up?

WS, the format is:

season #, episode # , "charactername", "quotation", "show initial (A, B, F)"

Please, please, please, NO double quotes inside quotations. It makes the baby Jesus cry, and tests my search and replace skillz.
