It worked, as far as I can tell, though editing doesn't generate extra posts. But it split my post up decently, adding the "continued" bit, allowing me to edit them into good chunks. You rule as usual. I don't have time to try breaking it, though.

Do you have problems, concerns or recommendations about the technical side of the Phoenix? Air them here. Compliments also welcome.
though editing doesn't generate extra posts.
It shouldn't. My head hurts when I try to think about maintaining the length by moving text from one post to the next. I'm thinking if you can't get the thought together with an additional 2000 characters, you aren't sure what you mean to say.
Anyway, if someone else would like to be El Destructo Magnifico, the profile addy is good for login info.
What happens if it goes over the limit on the second page?
I would be interested in testing with a Nilly text...
Is the test venue the usual and my login still valid?
Daniel: Yep.
I tried buffistas.net, but got
You don't seem to have a matching user id/password combination
Sorry -- you can send info like that via email. NEVER give out passwords to our board here.
Whoops. Sorry about that, Jon.
Daniel, insent.
Huh. My first attempts, when I said it worked, only spanned three posts. If you get up to as many as four or five, even, it starts breaking the final post at the last word or so for no apparent reason (it's not even close to the limit), leaving an extra post with one word in it. Once, the last post had a "continued" in it as if it wanted to do that, but didn't have any more text.
And Daniel is right in that Nilly reviews are a good way to break this thing.
Once, the last post had a "continued" in it as if it wanted to do that, but didn't have any more text.
Probably had just extra spaces or returns, and then when it auto posted that, the board auto-rejected the non content and wouldn't post.
